Morgan Mathis-Smythe
The Essence of Perfection
As a full time medical educator, aspiring actress, community volunteer, Certified Holistic Emerald Green Practitioner, Certified Reiki Master, and Assistant Event Coordinator of La Vella’s Parties, Morgan still finds the time to leave her mark on the runways from New York City to Germany.
Born Morgan Yvonne Jean Smythe and raised in the Midwest, the great state of Texas to be exact; Morgan knew early she wanted to help people. An eager learner with an appreciation for fashion she was approached by Glamour Shots to participate in a local modeling contest. Encouraged by her father Morgan pursued modeling locally. Her dreams to be a super model were delayed but not denied when she became a mother to a beautiful baby boy in 2003. Now a mother of three, she is back doing what she loves.
Morgan’s other passion for medicine comes from a long line of nurses and candy stripers. She volunteered for the American Red Cross at the local military hospital in her city at age 13. She has been in the field in many capacities ever since. Her current role as a Medical Coordinator for medical assistant students at an occupational trade college has been the most rewarding. Morgan’s love for medicine led her to her holistic mentor, Queen Afua in 2019 during the peak of COVID. Under the direct teachings of Queen, she learned how to “heal thyself” using a holistic approach. “I found Queen Afua at a time when not only did I need her but when the world needed to get back to the basics.”
It was that year that Morgan launched her own brand; 𝓢ister In 𝓦ellness, a Holistic Lifestyle Boutique with specialization in using food as medicine and energy healing. Taught and certified by Queen Afua’s Holistic Wellness Institute. “I am learning that my journey is not mine alone. Different stages of our lives require different versions of ourselves and I have given myself permission to be whatever version is necessary for my growth.” Morgan looks forward to using her platform to continue to inspire and elevate others. She is currently pursuing a degrees in Metaphysical Sciences at the University of Sedona.
