Alvester Gibson, Jr, is the President/CEO of the Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce where he is responsible for creating Fundraising Projects, getting Sponsorships, Economic Development and managing the day to day operations of the chamber. He has been associated with the Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce for over 15 years. Alvester is also employed by the City of Balch Springs as the Tourism Specialist.

Originally from Texarkana Texas, Alvester Co-Founded Texarkana’s first and only African American Bookstore and Art Gallery. He was featured in Dr. Bertice Berry’s #1 BEST SELLER, “Jim and Louella’s Homemade Heart Fix Remedy”.

Alvester is a U.S. Air Force Veteran, Art Collector, Avid Book Reader and High School Basketball Official. Alvester enjoys working with children, traveling, making his fiancé happy, spending quality time with his family, and helping others realize how great they are.

Alvester currently lives in Mesquite Texas with his Beautiful fiancé Chandra and their children.  Alvester is actively planning upcoming events for the Chamber, such as the Annual Golf Tournament, which details can be found out on the Balch Springs Chamber of Commerce Website.  balchspringschamber.org
